The Sofala is based on a Ford Transit. The front bumper can be grey or colour-matched, as in this photo.
The Sofala has wide isles and plenty of bench space. It doesn't feel cramped and is more than comfortable for two people.
It can sleep up to six people.
The kitchen boasts plenty of storage and bench space. A microwave is standard as is a rangehood exhaust fan.
The 90L 3-way fridge can run off gas, battery or electricity. It has a small freezer compartment.
The four-burner gas stove has a glass lid, increasing your bench space when not is use. The Sofala comes standard
with a gas grill.
The stainless steel sink has a glass lid. It hold a mini drainer (pictured) and a bench-top drainer. It also holds a bucket and
chopping board.
The dinette is quite large for a compact motorhome. The table is removable and the dinette can convert to either
a single or double bed. The large window allows light and air to flow into the vehicle and has an integrated thermal, insulated blind/screen system.
The rear double bed has loads of head room and is suitable for taller travellers. The surrounding windows make it feel spacious and
let in plenty of light and fresh air.
Both double beds have a small storage compartment at the head. This is great for sheets, pillows and extra blankets, meaning
they don't take up other valuable storage space. Two reading lights are at the head of each bed as well.
The double bed above the cabin has a window at the head and the foot, allowing for a cross-breeze. Reading spot lights are fitted and there is
a storage compartment for bedding. The ceiling vent is optional. A ladder is provided for easier access to the bed.
The bed above the cab lifts up on gas struts (feeling much like lifting a car boot). This allows much easier access to the
vehicle cabin.
The Sofala has dual wheel at the back and is a rear-wheel drive. It is very steady on the road and doesn't have a large overhang past
the rear wheels. It is easy to drive and well-appointed for long-term touring.
The rear double bed lifts on gas struts revealing a HUGE storage area under the bed. This storage can be accessed both
internally and externally.
The huge external storage area can also be accessed internally (under the rear bed). The storage is accessed on both sides,
making it great for larger items like a table and chairs or a surf board.
