The Sydney here is based on a Fiat Ducato. The Fiat Ducato is a 3.0L Turbo Diesel Automatic. It comes standard
with cruise control, driver and passenger air bags, power steering, power windows and power mirrors.
The cabin seats swivel and the kitchen/dining area are open plan.
The table is on an arm and can be moved away to be used as kitchen bench space.
The island bed at the rear is queen width. You can walk around both sides of the bed and the mattress is inner spring.
Two singles can be fitted instead.
The modern kitchen has a glass lid stove and European spout. The kitchen also has a range hood and concealed light
on the underside of the top cupboards. A double power point and 12 volt outlet can be seen to the right of the bench.
The fridge is a 175L 3-way fridge, meaning it can operate on LP Gas, 240 volt electricity and 12 volt battery.
A fire extinguisher and gas detector are fitted below.
The bed has two huge hopper windows either side, allowing for a great cross breeze.
The double-glazed windows have integrated, thermal-insulated blinds and screens.
The ultra modern bathroom features a ceramic toilet and glass basin. The shower is separate.
The toilet and shower doors can lock open to form one large bathroom. A double power point, 12 volt outlet and
toilet flush can be seen here under the bench.
The toilet and shower walls are angled, opening wider into the living area.
The Sydney comes standard with a wind-out awning and awning light above the main entry door.
The cab area becomes part of the motorohome when the seats are swivelled. The cab access is open and easy to walk through
without banging your head!
The Sydney is also available on a Mercedes Sprinter Cab Chassis. The Mercedes conversion is
around a foot longer and has a higher GVM (Gross Vehicle Mass). It is still a car-licenced motorhome.
The Mercedes cab chassis is a rear wheel drive and has dual wheels at the rear.
The HUGE external storage area is accessed from both sides. The storage doors are 1200 x 800mm. They are sealed and are lockable.
The awning is included in this model. It is an excellent feature and gives you more space to move. It is great in sunny and wet weather.
The Sydney has 2 x 4.5kg gas cylinders. The gas cylinders have a tap so you can use one cylinder at a time.
From top-left, a 240 volt power inlet, fresh water filler (to fill tanks), hot water system vent and mains water pressure inlet. The
mains water pressure inlet allows you to connect to town water instead of using your tanks.
The windows are hopper-style, meaning they push outwards. They open right up alowing for great ventilation. Hopper windows
are fitted on either side of the bed area and in the kitchen.
You can have two single beds at the rear instead of an island bed. The beds are extra long and still have
innerspring mattresses.
With the single bed configuration, you have hanging and shelf space between the beds.
The reverse cycle air conditioner is fitted in the bedroom but is sufficient to cool/heat the entire motorhome.
It is roof-mounted so it doesn't sacrifice storage elsewhere.
The windows, main entry door and skylight have an integrated blind/screen. A silver-backed, thermal insulated blind can be pulled up from the bottom of
the window and a fly screen can be pulled down from the top.
The extensive use of drawers in the kitchen and bedroom area means you don't loose storage at the back of cupboards. The
top kitchen drawer has a double cutlery tray. All cupboard doors and drawers use Italian handles with a patented locking system.
The bed(s) has a premium quality inner spring mattress. The island bed is queen width but double length.
The shower is separate from the toilet and has a telephone shower head (not fixed to the wall). The shower also has a 12 volt exhaust fan
in the ceiling.
The huge shower has a grooved fibreglass base with two drain holes. This means if you are parked on a slight slant, the water will still drain away.
The toilet has a ceramic base and bowl, similar to a domestic toilet. This means you do not have to use the traditional toilet
chemicals in your flush water and the bowl does not stain.
The casette toilet is simple to use and empty. The waste tank is closed when it is removed. It even has an extendable handle and wheels to
transport it to a dump site.
A High-Definition LCD TV with DVD player comes standard in the Sydney. The antenna (winder pictured above) is operated
from inside the motorhome and lies flat on the roof when not in use.
Hanging space is availble either side of the bed. The shelves are adjsutable or can be removed entirely to double your hanging space.
A silver microwave sits above the fridge. The control panel operates the lights and other 12 volt appliances. There is also
a water tank monitor and battery condition indicator.
A 12 volt electric step is fitted as standard. It is operated by a small switch inside the door. An alarm sounds if your step is out
when you start your vehicle.
The huge skylight opens upwards. It lets light and fresh air pour in. The skylight has an integrated blind and fly screen, like the windows.
The awning maximises your space. It is standard with the Suncamper Sydney.
The awning winds into its own hard case, protecting it from damage and the sun. This also means it does not need to be stored inside the motorhome.
Air bag suspension is fitted as standard to the Sydney. This allows you to modify your suspension, using the vlave pictured here.
